Milk testing analyzes protein, butterfat, volume, somatic cell counts, and estimated production by volume over a lactation period. This is helpful in understanding the dairy health of your goats and where to make changes for your overall health and production betterment. Linear Appraisal is a tool utilized by breeders to understand the "form" of our dairy goats. For example, numerical data is recorded in sub-categories under four main structural areas on a goat's body: General Appearance, Mammary System, Dairy Strength, and Body Capacity. These numbers provided by a qualified ADGA appraiser are based on a scale so you can understand which areas of your goats need improvement or keeping when breeding to make the most ideal goat for production and physical longevity across it's maturity lifecycle.
